Travis specializes in providing individual income, trust, estate & gift tax planning and compliance services to individuals. He also provides business income tax and compliance services to closely held businesses. Mr. Hood’s clients range from individuals who have previously utilized the services of a CPA, as well as individuals working with a CPA for the first time.
Travis is a member and currently serves on the Board of the Estate Planning Council of Lower Fairfield County and is a member of the Rising Professional Advisors Council of the Fairfield County Community Foundation. Additionally, Travis is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants. Travis is licensed in both Connecticut and New York and holds the AICPA’s Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) Credential. Mr. Hood received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Connecticut. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree, Summa Cum Laude from the School of Business with a major in accounting as well as a Master of Science Degree in accounting. Prior to joining Kahan Steiger & Company, P.C. Mr. Hood was with a large national public accounting firm in its Stamford office.
A Connecticut native, Travis resides in Wilton, Connecticut with his family.
